Primever and Hartman strengthen transport links between Southern Europe, the Netherlands and Scandinavia

Primever Group is expanding its European footprint through a strategic partnership with Hartman, a family-owned Dutch specialist in temperature-controlled transport of fresh fruit and vegetables, particularly to Scandinavian destinations (Denmark, Norway and Sweden).

Three years of growth in the Netherlands

Primever has been operating in the Netherlands since 2022 through its subsidiary Primever Holland, supporting the increasing volume of flows between Southern European production regions and consumer markets in Northern Europe.

Complementary expertise with Hartman

This partnership connects two highly compatible networks:

• Primever – a leading logistics provider in France and Southern Europe

• Hartman – a major operator serving the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden

Together, both companies will offer enhanced service options to customers, combining more capacity, additional loading docks, greater cross-docking capability and wider geographical coverage.

New base at Waddinxveen

In the coming months, Primever Holland will relocate from Poeldijk to Waddinxveen, within one of Hartman’s facilities, located at the heart of a major Dutch logistics hub.

This strengthened footprint will enable:

• more efficient routes towards Scandinavia

• enhanced links between France, Spain, the Netherlands and Northern Europe

• increased flexibility for growers, shippers and retailers

Serving fresh produce from farm to shelf

With this partnership, Primever confirms its ambition to offer a complete European refrigerated transport network, supporting all players across the fresh produce supply chain.
